This week we will begin by rewriting expressions in simplest form by combining like terms. It helps to build fluency with writing equivalent expressions. We will focus on using the properties of operations to write equivalent expressions. We will use our knowledge of the distributive property to help in the simplifying process. This can be fond starting on page 388 in volume 2. We will then move on to adding linear expressions, which we will apply our background knowledge of operations with rational numbers, combining like terms, and the distributive property to do so. This can be fond starting on page 396 in volume 2.
Also, I have changed the format of my DMR. Please see the attached document. I have kept the same expectations, and they will still be for a grade, I simply changed the format and number of questions each day. Let me know if you have any questions! Comments are closed.
