This week we will begin by playing some games to determine if a game is fair or unfair. This will lead us in to our project introduction. (Please see attached file for the project guidelines)
We will then move on to finding the probability of Compound Events by creating sample spaces (organized lists, tables and tree diagrams.) Compound Events consist of two or more simple events. They do this by setting up a fraction of outcomes in the sample space set up, for which the compound event occurs. We will then move to the Fundamental Counting Principal which is a faster way of finding compound events. We will be using multiplication instead of making a tree diagram. ALSO!!!! Anyone interested in taking Advanced courses next year needs to complete the GoogleDoc Application. The link has been provided on the left side of the webpage. Comments are closed.
