This week we will solidify our understandings of solving two-step equations. I want to make sure that students can fluently solve two step equations with and without rational coefficient and/or constants. We will then assess. After we have mastered solving these, we will move on to solving multi-step equations. (pg 482 in volume 2) These types of equations come in the form of p(x+q)=r. We will use our knowledge of using the distributive property with algebraic expressions to solve these. Students can either distribute the p to both terms on the inside, and then solve as you would a two-step equation, OR you can divide both side by the value p, and then solve as you would a one-step equation.
