Penance, Lamentation, Incoherent, Endeavour, Recumbent, Diminish, Fluctuate, Surmounted, Retentive, Latent, Decanter, Installment, Strife, Capacious**Those are the vocabulary words students must know by Wednesday. They should know how they are used in sentences.
Also, Wednesday, students take the second benchmark assessment of the semester. There is nothing to study. The benchmark will primarily assess students' comprehension abilities regarding informational text. It is being given to collect data for instructional purposes.
Our primary work in class, this week, is the Problem Solving Group Project. Young scholars are working together to identify problems that affect their lives, causes & effects, and possible viable, feasible solutions. I'm giving lots of class time to students, so their should be no excuse for their not turning them in before the break.
