Apparently, I did not click 'publish' enough times to get this thing to post Sunday night. I apologize.
This week, I am sitting down with students individually to score and help them improve their narratives.
We are also doing intensive purposeful annotations on our novel, Flipped, to better enable these young scholars to analyze a text and answer in depth text dependent questions.
Our new vocabulary words are: implied, constrict, retract, mangy, indeterminate, culprit, dismantle, sufficient, reluctant, encroach, molting, flustered. The vocabulary assessment task will be given Friday. I believe that in the near future I will be able to raise the difficulty level of these new vocabulary words for the majority of our wonderful 7th graders, so watch out for that.
In My Class:
All students are expected to behave as scholars. I am dedicated to fostering a safe, supportive, fun, rigorous academic environment. I love my job, I love your kids, and I'm going to do my best for them. I expect them to do their best as well.
