I hope you all had a great weekend!
As we begin our third week of the year in 7th grade at West End, we will start the week by assessing unit rates and complex fractions. We will then move on to our new unit, Proportionality. We will start the unit by seeing what makes a relationship proportional or non-proportional. We will then begin solving proportional equations where there in an unknown factor, called a variable. I have attached, and will do so every week, the Weekly Math Mania to this post. I will be assigning a new Math Mania every Monday, that covers all the content we will be discussing and practicing throughout the week. They have a full week to complete this, therefore it wont be due until the following Monday. This gives the students the freedom to work on the at home practice when it is convenient for them It also teaches them about deadlines. These will not count for a grade, but will be put into the grade book. Please see my Syllabus for more information regarding Homework Policies. Please also make sure you have checked out the 7th Grade Policies on our homepage, that goes over our Retake Policy. |
