I hope that you all enjoyed a safe and exciting Great American Eclipse on Monday, This was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and it was such an amazing experience. This week we will be continuing our study on Ancient Rome. Students will take a vocabulary quiz on Tuesday, August 22. This is our first vocabulary quiz of the year! The following words will be assessed: domus, insulae, republic, plebeian, patrician, myth, culture, identity, autobiography, and peninsula.
Throughout the rest of the week we will studying the ancient Roman culture before the fall of the empire. This study will include looking at daily life, ancient sports/entertainment, and technology. We will be updating our interactive notebook over the course of the week.
