Welcome to my latest Weebly post!
Last week, we simply could not fit in an assessment on identifying Grammatical Person (1st, 2nd, 3rd Person) and Number (Singular or Plural) in a sentence; therefore, this week that assessment will occur. It looks like Tuesday or Wednesday is the window for that, since I'd like to give them at least one more round of practice at the very beginning of the week.
Students will receive discussion questions for chapters 4 - 6 on Monday. The previous set is now due for a grade. The 4-6 set will be due by the end of the week. I final content knowledge & comprehension test on THE CALL of the WILD will occur on the following Monday.
Students have one final narrative writing assignment due before we begin our persuasive writing unit. This THIRD PERSON P.O.V. NARRATIVE is due by Friday the 22nd. Students will get computer time in class this week. An IB RUBRIC explaining the requirements of the assignment has been distributed to each student, but if you would like a digital copy, you may email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Students will also receive an example of exemplary third person narrative writing. There is no length requirement. It must fulfill the expectations of a narrative as described on the rubric.
Thanks for checking in. - Mr. Nettles
