This week we will be continuing our work with slope. We will then use our knowledge of slope, and constant rate of change to solve problems involving direct variation. We already know that slope (constant rate of change) is the ratio of change in y's to change in x's, or we can also use the staircase method; rise over run. We will begin talking about how to find a constant of proportionality in direct variation relationships. We will assess direct variation on Friday. Next Tuesday will be the district wide Benchmark Assessment and the following day, Wednesday will be our Quarter 1 Summative Assessment. .
